The reverse of the coin shows a splendid and detailed image of emperor Franz Joseph’s yatch “L’Aigle”.
On top of the reverse, the inscription “150 YEARS” – the year of the anniversary. In the lower reverse, the image of Empress Eugenie and Emperor Franz Joseph disembarking in Port Said for the opening of the Suez Canal and the inscription “OF THE SUEZ CANAL”. The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: “ELIZABETH II” – the queen’s name, “NIUE ISLAND” – the country of issue and “1 DOLLAR 2019” – the face value and year of issue.
